  • LegisTech: Artificial Intelligence in Parliaments | Enhanced Accountability

Bússola Tech, in collaboration with the Organization of American States (OAS), is honoured to present LegisTech: Artificial Intelligence in Parliaments for Enhanced Accountability. Taking place on 27 and 28 January 2026 at the Congress of Brazil, in Brasília, this high-level convening will bring together parliamentary authorities, technical leaders, and specialists from across the world to explore how Artificial Intelligence is transforming the transparency and accountability functions of modern legislatures.

Building on the continuity of previous strategic dialogues, this edition focuses on the concrete institutional, procedural, and technological conditions required for parliaments to integrate AI responsibly and effectively. From structuring legislative data for intelligent systems and enhancing digital public interfaces, to modernising workflow management and fortifying cybersecurity, the programme is designed to examine the evolving intersection between innovation, governance, and democratic legitimacy.

Throughout the two-day programme, participants will share institutional experiences, compare emerging practices, and analyse strategic pathways for strengthening the use of AI in support of more open, efficient, and citizen-centred parliaments. The conference will highlight a wide range of practical implementations, lessons learned, and institutional innovations adopted across different regions.

By convening a diverse set of perspectives and cases, the event seeks to demonstrate the transformative potential of AI in reinforcing parliamentary transparency, improving access to information, and enabling more dynamic forms of engagement with citizens. The discussions aim to support parliaments in becoming more resilient, data-driven, and future-ready, while ensuring that innovation is anchored in accountability and public trust.

We look forward to an enriching exchange that will contribute to stronger, more transparent, and more responsive democratic institutions worldwide.
