    Institutional Cooperation for the Promotion of Legislative Modernisation - the case of the IPU

     

     

     

    Parliamentary Diplomacy is a key factor for the maintenance of democratic values and rule of law, as Parliaments and Subnational Legislatures are able to closely cooperate in important challenges with their peers.

    This debate will discuss the importance of establishing channels of cooperation and collaboration for the promotion of legislative modernisation and digital transformation, using historical examples of how the legislative community gave its first steps in this area.

    For this panel, Luís Kimaid, representing Bússola Tech is deeply honoured to welcome the Former Secretary-General of the Inter Parliamentary Union, Mr. Anders Johnson. To debate with him, we are also honoured to welcome:
