Bússola Tech is excited to host the "LegisTech: Asia and Pacific - 1st Edition" conference, a landmark event dedicated to exploring digital transformation in legislative processes across Asia and the Pacific. This conference is a vital part of our initiative to foster dialogue on integrating technology with legislative operations, ensuring they meet the demands of modern efficiency, transparency, and accessibility.

The conference will feature two key panel discussions, each moderated by Luís Kimaid from Bússola Tech and comprising a diverse composition of participants from different legislative and technological backgrounds. These panels will offer insights into how legislative bodies across Asia and the Pacific are adapting to digital advancements while respecting their unique traditional practices.

The first panel, "Making the Publication of Legislative Data Available," will include speakers like Ari Hershowitz (Xcential Legislative Technologies - USA), Robin Treistman (Knesset - Israel), Satpal Gulati (Sansad - India), and Shahin Hasan Hasanov (Milli Mejlis - Azerbaijan). This discussion will focus on the essential elements of a legislature's digital strategy to make legislative data more accessible and user-friendly.

The second panel, "User Centred Digital Transformation in the Legislative," features participants such as Adelino Afonso De Jesus from the Parlamento Nacional do East Timor, Djaka Dwi Winarko from the House of Representatives of Indonesia, Jonathan Ruckert from NovaWorks Australia, and Tahir Farooq from the National Assembly of Pakistan. This panel will delve into understanding the needs of technical staff and MPs in legislatures and how digital transformation strategies can cater to these diverse requirements.

Scheduled for June 30th, 2022, the conference will be conducted on the Zoom platform.

Bússola Tech looks forward to these panels providing a comprehensive exploration of the challenges and opportunities in digital transformation within legislative bodies across Asia and the Pacific.
