  • LegisTech: The Modernisation of Devolved and Subnational Parliaments

    Bússola Tech and the Legislative Assembly of the State of Espírito Santo in Brazil are honoured to present LegisTech: Modernisation of Devolved and Subnational Parliaments in its 2º Edition. This esteemed event is set to convene on May 14th and 15th, 2026, at the Legislative Assembly of the State of Espírito Santo, in Vitória. This event aims to further the international dialogue on legislative modernisation across devolved and subnational parliaments, bringing together secretaries-general, clerks, parliamentary counsels, technology leaders, and institutional decision-makers.


    The forthcoming edition will focus on the important theme of Modernisation of Devolved and Subnational Parliaments” reflecting the growing necessity for technological transformation in state, provincial, regional, and devolved legislatures. The agenda is meticulously designed to facilitate in-depth discussions on various facets of legislative modernisation, including but not limited to the first steps towards a digital legislative process, artificial intelligence strategies, parliamentary data structuring, integration with legacy systems, process automation, and comparative case studies from legislatures across Brazil, Canada, Australia, Germany, Argentina, Portugal, South Africa, United Kingdom, and the United States.

    The event represents the continued commitment of Bússola Tech and the Legislative Assembly of the State of Espírito Santo to advancing legislative modernisation through the strategic application of digital technologies, institutional innovation, and responsible artificial intelligence.

    It invites devolved and subnational legislatures from across the world to partake in a journey of discovery, innovation, and dialogue, envisioning a future where technology and governance converge to create more efficient, transparent, and responsive legislative institutions.
